A chance to try something truly unique this December!

Herbal spirits and homegrown cure-alls were popular remedies in the 17th century to treat all kinds of ailments and illnesses. Today, the 1620s House and Garden exhibits a wide selection of herbs and plants once available in gardens across the country, many of which used to create such medicines. As part of research spearheaded by archaeologists from the University of Sheffield into early distillation, Locksley has experimented with botanicals from the Garden to explore some forgotten flavours once common.
